Japanese language is very popular because the trade between Australia and Japan is active. For example, beef and resources from Australia and automobiles and electronic appliances from Japan. Japanese and Australians also travel to each other's country. I was not specializing in Japanese but chose Japanese as a foreign language to study in the university for 4 years. Even so, it was just two hours a week, so my Japanese skills did not improve before coming to Japan.
It has been one year since I came to Japan and ARC, and now my Japanese is good enough to use at work. This is probably because my life at ARC. I became friends with classmates from different countries, and had to use Japanese language to communicate with them. This is because of ARC's policy to speak Japanese at school. I also like role play lessons. Other than lessons in the classroom we also go on fun excursions.
The towns in Japan are
very clean. People have very good manners and product quality is very high. I really respect them for
how they put efforts into making things. It is just that I think maybe they work too hard. I'm surprised
at how everyone works without stopping to enjoy themselves at all. Actually, I think they should have
more fun because their country is very safe and easy to live.
